My journey from FAT to FIT

I'm just a 22 year old college student trying to get back to a healthier, fit lifestyle while staying on the Dean's List. I've got almost 100 lbs to lose, so I thought I'd share my journey with the tumblr world! :)

I'm doing it for ME.: 33 calorie cheesecake!

INGREDIENTS:

*3/4 Cup nonfat cottage cheese

*2/3 cup nonfat plain yogurt

* 1 TBS flour

* 2 TBS sugar

* 1/4 tsp salt

*4 egg whites

*Juice from 1/2 a lemon

*1/2 cup assorted fresh berries

Oatmeal with blueberries and a banana for breakfast! Tasted awesome after my 8am Zumba class ;)

Just wanted to toot my own horn for a sec….

because I went on a 7.5 mile bike ride today in the very beautiful (and hill-y) back roads around Old Orchard Beach! :) If I thought my legs were like jelly this morning, they might as well fall off my body now! haha! I’m so proud of myself for doing the double work-out today. :)

Used left overs from last nights dinner to inspire my lunch today! :) 
We had about 3 slices of avocado and 3 oz of grilled chicken, so I made my own version of chicken salad (minus the mayo!). I mashed up the avocado, mixed in a little garlic powder and salt, diced up the chicken, then mixed it all up! I put that on 2 slices of 45 calorie per slice bread, it was awesome! I also had some cantaloupe and baked Lays with it. So good!

Broke my news kicks in today at an 8am bootcamp class :)
I thought I was going to DIE! We did circuit training with medicine balls and kettle bells (I think that’s what they’re called). My thighs are killing me and it takes all of my strength just to get up out of my chair, but it was definitely worth it! My plan is to hit up the Zumba class tomorrow morning, and then do bootcamp again on Tuesday!
I moved my weigh in day to Monday just for this week because I don’t have a scale up here in Maine. I’m not expecting to see a big difference this week because I had quite a few Bud Light Limes on the 4th to celebrate ;) But I’ll take what I can get, even if it’s just .1 lb! haha!
Also, last but not least, I got a bike to keep up here so I will pretty much never have to use my car while I’m here! :) Going to try to go on a bike ride with my Dad later today, if my legs can make it that it ;)

A little update about my life.

So this week I am in Old Orchard Beach, ME. My parents have a camper up here so I spend a lot of time here in the summer. I don’t have to be back at work till July 13th, so I’ll be here until I’m bored and decide to go home, lol. 

Woke up at 7am and went on a 1.5 mile run with my Dad. Running outside is way tougher than on the treadmill, especially here. I had to go up a huge hill, I thought my legs were going to fall off :P Tomorrow morning I’m going to a boot camp hosted by the campground. I’ve heard it’s really tough, but it’ll be nice to get a hard work-out in! Can’t wait to see it all pay-off on Friday! :)
